Buffalo Chip Condo

What's the Story?

The Buffalo Chip condo is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit in the Buffalo Village complex in Silverthorne Colorado. Silverthorne is approximately 60 miles- (1 hour) west of Denver on I70. Silverthorne and the town of Dillon co-exist together in this valley. The unit is co-owned by Mike & Susan Bartosch of Denver,CO, Ross & Janet Marsh of Overland Park, KS, Karen Gelvin of Olathe Ks, Tom & Donna Gelvin of Junction City, Ks. and Scott & Alice Stuckey of Junction City, Ks. Scott & Alice manage the reservations of the unit.

Our unit is in the Buffalo Village AA/BB Building. There are about 50 units in building AA/BB and there is a common indoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi for 6-8, indoor racquetball court, and common lounge with pool table and arcade machines. There are also outdoor tennis courts and a picnic/bbq area for summer time use. Our unit includes sheets, towels & toiletries- soap, shampoo, etc. (no hair dryer) Our unit is one floor up off the parking lot so after a hard day of skiing, hiking, loading/unloading or just dealing with the altitude, the elevator is a nice feature. We also have a two wheeler cart available (in master bedroom closet) to help you get your stuff in and out.

Our unit 308AA comfortably sleeps 6. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed with it's own bath. The other bedroom has twin beds and a couch; the living room sofa also folds out to a full size bed. There is a fully stocked kitchen (w/all cooking utensils but without food) & dining room, living room with fireplace, cable tv, vcr, phone (credit card calls out only), etc.

Our unit is well located for year-round activities. We are 5 miles from Keystone ski resort, 10 miles from Copper, 15 miles from Breckenridge and about 30 minutes from Vail. You are about 3 minutes from hundreds of outlet shops in Silverthorne. We are located up near the top of Wildernest (Ryan Gulch) Road so you definitely feel you are in the mountains- not down by the highway. Hiking trails on Buffalo Mountain start right up the road from the condo.   Nearby Dillon lake offers many water activities if you want to brave the mountain lake temperatures. 


Rental Rates:

We have different rates for different time periods based on demand for the unit. This is pretty much the way that all units out here are rented:

In addition to the nightly charge, there is a cleaning charge of $75.00 despite the number of nights.(that's what they charge us!) The cleaning charge is mandatory on all rentals less than two weeks in length.

Rules:

Minimum stay is two nights. Deposit of 1 night's rent is required to "hold" your reservation. You should mail it to us within 10 days of making your reservations. Payment in full is required two weeks (14 days) prior to your arrival date. Once full payment is received you will receive a key, map and directions to the condo.

Cancellation Policy: We will attempt to accomodate everyone on cancellations. Full refund of deposit will be made if you cancel 30 days or more before arrival date. Full refund will be made if less than 30 days if we are able to rent it to someone else. If other renters cannot be found, you will forfeit your deposit. If you cancel after making your full payment, two nights deposit will be retained. Emergencies will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Pets: sorry no pets are allowed.
