How
to get to Condo from Denver: Take
70 West to Dillon exit (Exit 205), Take a right off exit ramp, turn
left
@ Wildernest Road (next stoplight, 7/11 on left). Wildernest Road
changes
name to Ryan Gulch Road. Go up to the top of Ryan Gulch Road (past
Treehouse).
Buffalo Village will be on the right. Turn in 2nd parking lot (TOKAY
Rd)
for BLDG AA/BB. AA308 is one floor up to the left. Arrival/Departure
Times: In
order to give our cleaning person adequate time to clean for the next
renter
we ask departing parties to be out of the unit by 10am and ask
arriving
parties not to arrive before 2PM. You can call us to see if
there
is another renter ahead or after you to vary these times. Clubhouse
logistics: Swimming
pool & jacuzzi, racquetball court, and sauna are all located on the
first floor- lower level. The lounge is located on the second floor.
Most
of these facilities require a code number to access. This access code
number
will be posted in our condo unit. There are laundry facilities on 2nd
floor.
Winter
Things to Do: Ski:
Keystone is 5 miles away through Dillon,
ABasin is a few miles past Keystone
on same road. Copper is about 8 miles away on I70. Breckenridge is
about
15 miles away through Frisco, Vail/Beaver Creek is about 30 miles away
on I70. Cross Country trails are available at Keystone and
Copper.
Ice
Skating is available at Dillon and Keystone Lakes. Snow Mobiling
is available in Frisco and Dillon. Night skiing is available at
Keystone.
Silverthorne has 124 outlet mall shops and Dillon has movie theatre and
bowling as well as shops.
If
you think there’s less to do out here in the summer than the winter…you
are so wrong! Golf, Hiking, White Water Rafting, Shopping (actually
year-round),
Sailing. Horseback, etc. See the tourist flyers in our condo lobby for
an endless list of things to do. Hiking trails start right up the road
from our condo. The Alpine tobaggon run (sleds on concrete tubes) at
Breckinridge
is great fun, Eagle’s Nest, Keystone Ranch, the Palmer course in Breck
are all great (but kind of expensive) golf courses. Drive up to
Leadville
or over to Steamboat…Silverthorne is a great central point to base out
of. We
usually stop at King Souper grocery store on Youngfield Rd exit in
Denver
to get discount lift tickets. Ski shops usually have special deals as
well
as Fitzsimmons Medical center and Vickers gas stations. The Wildernest
rental office at bottom of Wildernest Rd also sells discounted lift
tickets.
There are coupon books and discount Ski Colorado cards for reduced
tickets.
We usually rent skis at Wild Ernests ski rental at bottom of Wildernest
Rd. Decent equipment- $8-$9 per day rental. They give you a 10%
discount
if you are condo'd in the wildernest area. It's
always a good idea to see what's left at the condo before you go out
and
buy groceries. The condo has most of the condiments you will need. The
City Market in Silverthorne shopping center is the easiest place to buy
groceries. Fast food abounds off of I70 in Silverthorne. For Good Eats:
Silverheels in Frisco- excellent southwest cuisine, Old Dillon Inn-
mexican.
In Keystone, there is the Snake River Tavern, the Lodge and many more
spots
in the Dillon, Frisco & Breckendridge.
